Jamie Walden took 1st Overall in the DIrty Fondo on May 3
The team brought its full roster again to the Avoca Race Series on May 6th, racing the opposite direction and facing an uphill finish. Chris Pape attacked the leadout train on the final climb to finish 2nd, while Joel Raymond protected his overall race series lead by placing 4th.
At the “definitely not a race” Bike City Fondo, Curtis Grace made the early break up the first of many climbs on the 105 Mile course. The six man break stayed away for 80 miles and worked collaboratively to stay together and stay ahead. Curtis finished 2nd after the break shattered in the last few miles.
Jared Neufer, Matt Pryzbysz and Justin Crawley traveled to Tulsa on a weeknight to take part in the USAC Sanctioned Osage Gran Prix. Jared made the early break and survived to the end to take the first road race Win of the season for Natural State Racing. Justin Crawley put down a selfless leadout for Matt, who won the field sprint.
Down in Vilonia, AR our Central Arkansas crew puts on one of the last remaining USAC series in Arkansas, the Monday Night Lights Criterium Series. The team rolled deep and came out with four podium positions. Jamie Walden took 2nd in the A Race, with Forrest LIndsey just behind him in 3rd. In the B Race, Beau Theriot took 2nd and Andrew Moffitt took 3rd.
The team returned to Avoca again on May 20th on the clockwise course. In the B Race, the team raced super aggressive all day with most riders setting new power PRs up and down the course. Chris Pape launched off the front on the short hill with one other rider and held it to the line for another 2nd place finish.
